Black Sesame Paste Dessert

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup SN Organic Black Sesame Seeds
  • 1/4 cup SN Organic Rolled Oats
  • 2 tbsp SN Organic Coconut Nectar Sugar
  • 500ml water
  • 1/4 teaspoon SN Natural Black & White Sesame Seeds, for ganishing

Methods

  • Toast the black sesame seeds in a frying pan on low heat for 1 to 2 minutes until they are fragrant. Remove and allow to cool.
  • Adds the sesame seeds and oats into a blender and grind into powder.
  • In a saucepan, add 500ml of water and coconut nectar sugar to the powder mixture and bring to boil.
  • Once the soup comes to a boil, be sure to stir constantly as the bottom of the pot may burn. Turn the heat down to low and cook until the mixture thickens, stirring constantly (approximately 10 minutes). Add more water to the soup according to desired consistency.
  • Serve warm or cold, garnish with black & white sesame seeds or crushed nuts.
